He Has Risen

This week has been a very sobering time of reflecting on all that Christ has done for a very ungrateful world of people (myself included) who are full of betrayal, hate, pride, disdain, unforgiveness, lies, and all kinds of debauchery. Although my finite mind is unable to truly comprehend the magnitude of what Christ has done for us all, I want to take the time at, and at minimum, honor His bravery and sacrifice. He is our King of Kings and Lord of Lords and He has risen, He’s not dead. Christ took our (yes, even our enemies) transgressions to the cross and paid a high price for our freedom. Lord, I thank you for all that you’ve done. Even though I don’t always get it right, I want to publicly say that I am available to serve you. I also want to pray for my enemies to find their way to you. It’s hard to pray for those who are spiteful, but hopefully, this prayer will reach their hearts today and they’ll accept your gift of eternal life and then they’ll turn and apologize to the people they’ve hurt. Please teach us how to love in the way that you do. Teach us how to forgive as you do. The journey is tough when dealing with people, but I know through you it’s possible because you have already been through the evilest trenches and didn’t compromise your mission to save the world. Thank you for giving your life so we might live eternally, Amen!

Matthew 28:6-7

He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.

Why do you cry? He has risen
Why are you weeping? He’s not dead
Why do you cry? He has risen
Why are you weeping? He’s not dead
He paid it all on that lonely highway
And His anointing I can feel
He shed His blood for my transgressions
And by His stripes we are healed

Why do you cry? He has risen
Why are you weeping? He’s not dead
So as you go through lifes journey
Don’t you worry lift up your head
Don’t you cry stop your weeping
He has risen He’s not dead

Don’t cry
Wipe your eyes
He’s not dead

Oh don’t weep
He’s not asleep
Je-hovah
He’s not dead

Oh don’t cry
Wipe your eyes
He’s not dead
