Superb!!! Tonia is great at storytelling and she seamlessly weaves examples of the cycle of abuse (love bombing, devaluing, discarding) throughout her book. She also exposes some tactics of narcissistic abuse like:
This was an amazing book to read. I love how transparent you are Tonia. I follow you on YouTube and was so excited you wrote this book. It has some triggering areas, but at this point of my journey, I accept the “triggers” as blessings in the form of reminders to keep me from accepting these behaviors again. And to be so grateful Jehovah has helped me endure what I have with my previous “transaction” with a narcissist. It is an emotional, spiritual and physical battle. But once you finally wake up… the journey really begins in self healing and self love. The last few pages are so powerful. I loved this… “what was in me that made me stay with someone who clearly showed me with their actions that they did not love me in any way?” That was a question that I was forced to ask myself after coming across another YouTube channel that was pivotal in my healing process. I hope we all can overcome and continue to shine!!! Thank you for sharing your journey.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who is a survivor of narcissistic abuse or anyone trying to escape the horrific abuse. Tonia’s book is so well written and describes exactly what we have been through and gives great advice on how we can heal from this. What we went through definitely brings us to a “spiritual awakening”. Tonia explains what she experienced, what she learned, and how she is continually healing and being strengthened. This is a spiritual war and needs to be overcome by spiritual warfare. Get this book – you will not be disappointed. I could not put it down.
