At the outset of my journey in sharing my story, I established a YouTube channel initially named “Just Say No to Narcs,” which has since evolved into “North of the Fray.” This channel became my voice, a reclamation of the narrative that had seemingly been wrested from me by an individual with the sole intent of deceit and abuse. The courage to speak up emanated from my gratitude towards God, who, even in moments when I wasn’t fully present for Him, was unwaveringly present for me.

The decision to rename the channel stemmed from a profound realization – the discourse around narcissism transcends conventional psychology discussions and extends far beyond my personal encounters. It is a pervasive issue, a spiritual epidemic on a global scale. Through delving into the teachings of the Bible, I discerned that God’s children are engaged in a genuine spiritual battle against those who willingly serve Satan (John 8:44). In my current conversations, I leverage my voice to sound the alarm for those still in slumber or those who have awakened but grapple with understanding the truth. As Ecclesiastes reminds us, “There is nothing new under the sun,” and the Bible forewarns us about individuals of this nature. It’s time to acknowledge, believe, and trust in God’s word to enlighten and equip us for the profound spiritual battle that lies ahead. We are amidst a spiritual war, and as articulated in Ephesians 6, we must arm ourselves with the right weapons, lest we face peril.

For those who have endured the torment of narcissistic abuse, I encourage you to share your story. Illuminate the darkness, and turn to God for protection through sincere repentance and submission to His will.
